Fishing

Rippin’ lips just outside your cabin door.

We have outstanding salmon and trout fishing in the Petersville area, which fortunately experiences less pressure than other drive-to areas of Alaska (meaning far fewer people on the rivers and lakes). Gate Lake is stocked with rainbow trout annually by the Alaska Department of Fish and Game. Gate Creek guests may fish right from our docks or use our watercraft. We provide limited poles and tackle so you might bring your favorite lures and bait for lake trout. King, red and silver salmon make their way up the local rivers and creeks during mid- to late summer. In addition, rainbow trout, grayling and Arctic char are fished in local streams. Northern pike are found in many of the lakes that dot the area.
